ApexFlow — High-Throughput Core Banking Ledger
Client: ApexFlow Financial Group • Timeline: 14 Weeks from architecture to production
The Technical Challenge
ApexFlow was processing transactions through a monolithic legacy database prone to concurrency lockups during market opening hours. They required an ultra-low latency, distributed double-entry bookkeeping ledger with verifiable cryptographic audit trails and zero downtime tolerance.
The Engineered Solution
Bistech engineered a partitioned, event-sourced financial ledger built with Go, Kafka, and distributed PostgreSQL. By implementing optimistic locking algorithms, read/write segregation, and memory-mapped state caches, the platform comfortably absorbed massive transactional bursts with sub-4ms settlement.
Architectural Decisions & Implementation Highlights
- Event-driven architecture with Apache Kafka for immutable audit event streams
- Custom double-entry accounting engine written in Go with 99.999% mathematical verification tests
- Multi-region active-passive failover on AWS EKS with cross-region replication under 100ms
- Automated automated reconciliation worker resolving discrepancy alerts in real time
Technology Stack Employed
“Bistech gave us the architectural foundation to scale institutional settlement across 4 continents. Their engineers are simply world-class.”
